Opposition PDP today organised a candle march in Kachi Chawni area here for the early recovery of death row convict Sarabjit Singh, admitted in coma in a Lahore hospital.
Led by PDP district vice president Vikram Singh, the party activists took out a candle light march here praying for Sarabjit's early recovery, besides demanding safety for him.
"We are extremely concerned about his condition. The authorities should immediately shift him to a good hospital with better facilities. This (Jinnah) hospital does not have adequate facilities," Vikram said.
He alleged Pakistani government for negligence in jail administration.
Sarabjit, 49, is in the intensive care unit of the state-run Jinnah Hospital in Lahore, where he was admitted on Friday after being brutally beaten by some prisoners within his barrack at the Kot Lakhpat Jail.
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Sharnarthi Front also held a candle light march in the city in support of Sarabjit.
