Peace talks between Mizoram govt and HPC(D) concludes

A framework of agreement was worked out in the second round of peace talks between the Mizoram government and the Hmar People's Convention (Democratic) which concluded today, a senior official said.
"Both sides were sincere to find an amicable solution to the Hmar problem and the talks were held under mutual trust and understanding," Additional Secretary to Home Department, Lalbiakzama said.
The framework for agreement as being worked out during the 2-day talks would be laid before the government by its delegation and also before the HPC(D) leadership by the outfit, Lalbiakzama, who is also the leader of the four-member government delegation, told PTI.
The next round of talks would be held in the third week of December, he said.
