Planned attacks on Pak Imambargahs during Muharram foiled

Pakistan authorities today foiled a terror bid as they recovered from a school suicide jackets and explosive materials believed to be dumped for conducting attacks on Imambargahs during Muharram, police said.
Acting on a tip off, the police raided a school in Urmur area, a rural area of Peshawar district and recovered six suicide jackets and 18 kgs of explosive materials, Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Peshawar Mubarak Zeb Khan and SSP Operation Mian Muhammad Saeed said at a joint press conference here.
They said that the police had received information that the terrorists had planned attacks on some Imambargahs in the suburbs of Peshawar during the month of Muharram.

Some suspects have also been arrested during the raid but police refused to reveal their identities before completion of interrogation.
