Plea in HC to prevent Amit Shah from holding yatra in Kannur

A petition was today filed in the Kerala High Court for a directive to the Kannur district administration to prevent BJP Chief Amit Shah from conducting a yatra in the district.
In his petition, a practising lawyer, has alleged that the proposed 'janaraksha yatra' of the BJP will only lead to worsening of the political situation the district.
Shah is scheduled to joing the yatra beginning at Payyannur in Kannur district on October 3, according to the petition.
