The Pattali Makkal Katchi Saturday demanded immediate filing of charge sheet by police in a case of alleged bribery against a former vice-chancellor of the State-run Bharathiar University.
"The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption should take steps to immediately file a charge sheet," PMK founder S Ramadoss said.
Citing the arrest of the Coimbatore-based varsity's former vice-chancellor A Ganapathy in February this year by the DVAC sleuths for allegedly receiving bribes, the PMK top leader said no charge sheet has been filed in the case despite a lapse of ten months.
The alleged bribery in a government university "brought disrepute to Tamil Nadu," he said adding non-filing of charge sheet so far was "condemnable."
