Behera took charge as Director of Prisons and Fire and Rescue Services respectively, the official said.
The officers had gone on leave and abstained from taking
charge after they were transferred from the post they held earlier in a recent reshuffle.

The government had said action would be taken if they fail to join duty by today.
The issue of discontent among the police officers had also figured in the assembly with LDF Opposition taking up the matter to target the government.
Prison Director and DGP Loknath Behera as Director of Fire and Rescue Service, Chennithala had said transfers were made as per service rules and there was nothing unprecedented in it.
Chennithala had also made it clear that "no officer can dictate to government that he or she should be given a particular post."
It was reported that Singh and Behera had gone on leave as they were not happy with their new postings.
The opposition alleged that the police force was in disarray resulting in administrative stalemate in the force.
