The Improvised Explosive Device was unearthed by a team of CRPF's 74th battalion personnel from Chintalnar police station limits while they were out on road security operation, a police official told PTI.
The security personnel had launched the operation from their Burkapala camp toward Mukram Nullah, located around 450 kms away from here.
They spotted the pressure bomb hidden on the roadside at around 12.05 PM, he said.
The explosive, weighing around 5 kg, was immediately destroyed on the spot by the bomb disposal squad, the official said, adding thatthe IEDwas possibly meant to harm the security men during their operation in the area.
