The decision was taken today in a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje.
"The government will start pre-school education in 61,000 Aanganwadi centers in the state. The scheme will be run by the department of women and child development and a council and a monitoring committee will also be set up," Parliamentary Affairs Minister Rajendra Rathore told reporters here after the meeting.
The meeting also decided to scrap a tender allotted to a foreign firm for laying sewer pipeline in Nathdwara town in Rajsamand district following alleged financial irregularities in the process.
He said the work order was awarded to the company by former government at the time when code of conduct was in force before 2013 Assembly elections.
Other decisions, including disbanding of Rajasthan State Coal Minister company Ltd and Rajasthan Veterinary Services Corporation ltd, clearing an ordinance for setting up a private university, removal of anomalies in career promotion scheme for government doctors, were also taken.
He said that the objective of the Rajasthan Veterinary Services Corporation Ltd was to purchase veterinary medicines for free veterinary scheme but this work was being done through other arrangement and not by the corporation so the decision was taken to scrap the corporation.
"Present arrangement to purchase veterinary medicines will continue like before," he said.
1,180 government doctors in the state were not getting advantage of DACP (Dynamic Assured Career Promotion) scheme, he said.
