Dominic Cooper-starrer "Preacher" is coming to end with its fourth season.
Based on a comic book series of the same name by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon, the black-comedy and supernatural drama features Cooper as preacher Jesse Custer, who gets infused with an extraordinary power.
Together with his girlfriend Tulip (Ruth Nega) and an Irish vampire named Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun), Custer embarks on a quest to better understand his new gift and find God.
Actor Seth Rogen, who developed the show along with Sam Catlin and Evan Goldberg, announced on Instagram that the show's upcoming fourth season will be its last.
"The fourth and final season of 'Preacher' is coming. It's been a wild ride. Thank you all," the actor said.
Rogen, who also executive produces the show, also revealed that the fourth season will premiere on August 8.
