Prequel of 'Home Sweet Home 2' to hit screens on public demand

Almost a fortnight after the release of Konkani film "Home Sweet Home 2," its makers have decided to re-release its prequel owing to huge public demand.
"Home Sweet Home 2" was released last year on December 25, 2015 after the successful run of "Home Sweet Home" which hit screens on December 25, 2014.
The prequel would be screened in theatres from tomorrow.
"We decided to re-release the prequel after repeated requests from the audience for the screenings. 'Home Sweet Home-2' crossed the 200 shows mark in record time and many of the viewers were left to watch the prequel of the movie," Madhav Gad, producer of both the films told reporters here.

It would be the first timein history that both parts of the movie shall be screened in theatres at a time, he said.
"We received many calls, messages regarding the launching the CDs of the part-1 or any other screening chances of the movie from people as they were left to see the previous part and many are excited to know what exactly had happened in previous part, so we decided to re-release the movie in maximum theatres possible," Gad said.
"People have started showing keen interest in Konkani movies as we are getting overwhelming response for part-2 and there are so many requests from the fans to screen the part-1 of the movie on social media, through smses, calls etc," actor Aryan Khedekar, who played a negative role in the movie, said.

"The film culture in Goa is slowly and steadily growing. People are ready to spend money to watch quality Konkani movies in Goa. Goa government should lend a helping hand to filmmakers so that the trend continues and we can witness some fine movies in future," said lead actor Rajdeep Naik.
