"The present century is one of technology and it should be used for the development of nature and for the welfare of human beings," the Governor said here after inaugurating an international seminar in the premises of Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University, Jind.
He also stressed on the need of adopting Yoga in our daily lives.
"People are now aware of the benefits of Yoga. The international 'Yoga Divas' this year will be celebrated in China on June 21," he said.
He appealed to the farmers to stop indiscriminate use of pesticides and fertilisers.
Speaking on this occasion, State Agriculture Minister Haryana O P Dhankar said that the farmers whose crops had been damaged due to heavy rain and hailstorm recently in different parts of the state will get compensation for the loss of their crops.
