A large number of people took part in a rally organised here today, by the All India Forum For Right To Education (AIFFRTE) and marched from Bhopal Talkies to Yadgar- e-Shahjahani Park.
Protesters held placards against costly education, chanted slogans like "Down with privatisation, commercialisation and communalisation of education," as part of a rally called 'Akhil Bharat Siksha Sangharsh Yatra 2014'.
Forty-five organisations under the banner of AIFFRTE took part in the rally to press for a common education system.
He said education should promote equality and freedom from all kinds of discrimination.
