Maintenance of peace, communal harmony, law and order would continue to be the main agenda of the SAD-BJP government to keep Punjab a prosperous and peace-loving state, he said.
He was addressing a gathering of Baba Banda Singh Ji Bahadur Shaheedi Jor Mel here.
Those responsible for creating terror would not be spared at any cost and put behind the bars. Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) has always fought for protecting the interests of Punjabi's and Sikhs, Badal said.
The fact that defence minister Harjit Singh Sajjan and several other cabinet members in Canada hail from Punjab speaks volumes of their immense contribution towards development of that nation.
He rued that such a brave community has been branded as drug addicts by certain opposition parties who would get a befitting reply in next year assembly elections.
Listing the achievements of SAD rule, he said that the Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has constructed memorials of every religion, giving priority to all of them.
The government has constructed Virasat-e-Khalsa memorial, Baba Banda Singh Bahadur War memorial and others, he said, adding the government would spend Rs 100 crore for the 350th birth anniversary celebrations of Guru Gobind Singh.
