Raigad Congress president Gharat appointed a director of CIDCO

Raigad Congress Committee president R C Gharat, who led the agitation by Navi Mumbai airport project-affected people, has been appointed one of the directors of City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO), a government resolution stated here today.
Gharat has been negotiating with the government and CIDCO on all matters relating to compensation to Navi Mumbai Airport project affected people.
CIDCO has two other directors namely, Namdeo Bhagat and Vasant Bhoir, besides Gharat.
A senior Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Pramod Hindurao, who is a close confidante of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, is CIDCO's chairman.
