Raj Lokayukta disposed over 4,900 complaints in last fiscal

The Rajasthan Lokayukta has disposed 4,990 complaints out of the total 6,485 it received between April 1, 2015, and March 31, 2016.
The maximum complaints, 1,057, were against the Urban Development and Housing, and Local Self Governance Department, Lokayukta S S Kothari said.
There were 1,025 complaints against the Revenue Department, 929 against the police, 854 against the Mines Department and 695 against the Rural Development and Panchayti Raj Department, Kothari said .
The Lokyukta also took suo-moto cognizance of media reports in 39 cases.
Kothari presented the report to Governor Kalyan Singh today, a release said.
