Rajasthan government today said it will form a task force to implement the 295 MoUs committing investment of about Rs 3.3 lakh crore signed at the 'Resurgent Rajasthan Partnership Summit'.
"Rajasthan has inked about Rs 3.3 lakh crore investments at the summit which concluded this evening. The investment could go up to Rs 4 lakh crore," state Industry Minister G S Kheenvsar told reporters here.
"The government expects that at least 50 per cent of the MoUs would come in force," the Minister said.
In 2007, when Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje was serving her first term, MoUs worth Rs 1.62 lakh crore were signed, out of which 33 per cent materialised, entailing an investment of about Rs 54,000 crore, he said.
Giving details about the MoUs, he said energy sector fetched agreements worth Rs 1,90,000 crore, followed by petroleum (Rs 77,657 crore), infrastructure (Rs 17,038 crore) manufacturing (Rs 11,760 crore), roads and highways (Rs 10,000 crore), tourism (Rs 5,783 crore), healthcare (Rs 4,752 crore), agriculture (Rs 2,402 crore) and education (Rs 1,807 crore).
All the 295 MoUs will provide over two lakh jobs in the state, he said.
A task force would be set up to implement the MoUs, he said.
