Over a dozen Rajya Sabha members including senior Congress leader P Chidambaram and BJP's Roopa Ganguly were in the gallery to witness the debate on the no- confidence motion against the Modi government.

This is the first time that a no-confidence motion has been moved in the Lok Sabha since the BJP-led dispensation came to power four years ago.

Among those present in the gallery were Rajeev Gowda of the Congress and G V L Narasimha Rao of the BJP.

Ganguly was even seen tapping her chair when her party colleague Rakesh Agarwal listed out the NDA government's achievements in the last four years.
