The rally was organised by Department of Transport, RTO and Sri Krishna Group of Institutions, in which nearly 600 persons, including students and officials participated.
Archana explained the details of Court order on making helmet wearing compulsory and also provisions of seizing licence and not allowing to purchase two wheelers, unless one produced the purchase bill of helmet.
Meanwhile, Kumaragru college of Technology also organised an awareness rally through the students, who formed a Logo titled 'Helmet Saves Lives, at the campus.
Some 25 students also took out a motor cycle rally wearing helmet, by holding placards like 'Use Helmet', 'Helmet Saves Lives' and 'Wear Helmet' to create awareness among the public.
