Rao is Corresponding Member of Australian Academy of Sciences

Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research today said Professor C N R Rao, eminent scientist and National Research Professor at the centre, has been elected Corresponding Member of the Australian Academy of Sciences.
He is the first Indian scientist to become a member of the Australian Academy, JNCASR said in a release.
He is also being conferred honoris causa Doctor of Science degree by the Australian National University,
Anberra.
Prof Rao was conferred with Bharat Ratna, the country's highest civilian honour in February last year.
