Ravindra Singhal takes charge as Nashik police commissioner

IPS officer Ravindra Singhal today took charge as the Nashik Police Commissioner here.
The outgoing commissioner S Jagannathan has been transferred by the Maharashtra government to Mumbai as Additional Director General of Police in Training and Special Squads Office in place of Singhal, official said.
Singhal, IPS of 1998 batch, had earlier worked as Nashik District Superintendent of Police and overseen the Kumbh Mela in 2003.
