Rawat congratulates Padma Shri awardees Valdiya, Prasoon Joshi

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat today congratulated geological scientist K S Valdia and lyricist Prasoon Joshi on being conferred with the Padma Shri, saying they had done the state proud by bagging the honour.
"It is a matter of pride for Uttarakhand that Mr Valdia and Mr Joshi have both been named for the Padma awards for their outstanding achievements in their respective fields," Rawat said in his congratulatory message here.
Valdia and Joshi hail from Pithoragarh and Almora districts of Uttarakhand respectively.
