In the meeting, the Chief Minister said the police force needs to improve its working style, according to an official release.
Rawat said Uttarakhand is gradually being seen as a soft state and this image needs to be changed.
He said importance should be given to intelligence and there should be coordination between police and administration, the release said.
Terming the recent criminal incidents in the state as grave, the Chief Minister said the accused should be arrested soon.
No stone should be left unturned in arresting the criminals, he said.
He said strict action should be taken against any official found negligent in performing duty.
