Refined soya oil futures slide 0.39% on low demand

Refined soya oil prices fell by 0.39 per cent to Rs 669.50 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators reduced exposure, driven subdued demand in the spot markets.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in October fell by Rs 2.60, or 0.39 per cent to Rs 669.50 per 10 kg with an open interest of 42,850 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in September contracts shed 85 paise, or 0.13 per cent to Rs 660.75 per 10 kg in 30,050 lots.
Market analysts said trimming of positions by traders owing to tepid demand in the spot market against sufficient stocks position weighed on refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
