Operation of Mumbai and Delhi-bound flights from the city resumed today after completion of the resurfacing (new coating ) work of the runway, airport director, Airport Authority of India, Vadodara airport, Santosh Dhoke said.
"The resurfacing of the 8,100 feet runway work had started last year in November which with an expenditure of Rs 10-11 crore. Now, flights will operate during the fixed hours as it earlier used to be (before Nov, 2014)," he said.
Some of the flights were affected during this period as the watch tower (air traffic control) operated between 0500 hrs to 1000hrs in morning and between 1730 hrs and 2200 hrs in evening.
As many as 16 flights ply from the Harni airport, located on the outskirts of the city, every day.
