Relief from cold wave in Pb, Haryana

Minimum temperatures today rose several notches able normal in Punjab and Haryana, providing relief to people in both states from cold wave conditions.
Though the mercury recordings were slightly lower than yesterday.
The Union Territory of Chandigarh, the common capital of the two states, recorded a low of 8.9 degrees Celsius, which was four notches above the normal, as per MeT department report.
It had recorded a low of 9.8 degrees Celsius yesterday.
In Haryana, Ambala recorded a minimum of 10.2 degrees Celsius, up by four notches above normal while Hisar had a low of 8.2 degrees Celsius, up by two notches.

Karnal and Narnaul recorded 8 degrees and 7.3 degrees Celsius respectively, rising by up to two degrees above normal.
In neighbouring Punjab too, mercury remained above normal with Amritsar recording a low of 4.6 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal while Ludhiana and Patiala registered a minimum of 7.2 deg and 10.2 degrees Celsius respectively, a jump of up to four degrees above normal.
