The restriction on Indian television channels were in place nearly for two weeks have been lifted now, Nepal Cable Television Association said.
The cable operators had removed the Indian news channels for some time after the CPN-Maoist led by Netrabikram Chand, the break away faction of UCPN-Maoist, warned against telecasting Indian programmes in Nepal.
However, other television channels continued to broadcast even during the restrictions were imposed on the Indian news channels.
The restricitions on the Indian news channel was put to show protest against the blockade by Madhesis in the southern border points of Nepal causing hardship to the people as it has resulted in acute shortage of fuel and other essentials in landlocked Nepal.
Meanwhile, normal life is returning gradually in Terai, the southern plains of Nepal bordering India with the resumption of transportation services in major cities.
This is also evident from opening of most market areas, educational institutions and industries in the southern Nepal districts as tie protest entered fourth month.
