Unmindful of voice expressed by some partymen that the party name was being dragged in the agitation which the MP was carrying through a non-party organisation "Yuva Shakti", Pappu Yadav today described Lalu Prasad as "supreme" leader and said his stir was giving "expansion" to his ideology of working for the poor.
RJD spokesman Mundrika Singh Yadav told PTI that its not a party programme. "But, any individual is free to launch a stir against some wrong in personal capacity," he said.
"If there is any programme by any wing of the RJD it would be announced officially," he said.
He, however, denied reports of party issuing any showcause or seeking explanation from Pappu Yadav on this count.
Pappu Yadav, along with his Congress MP wife Ranjeeta Ranjan, held public rally at Saharsa last week and at Madhepura yesterday against doctors charging high fee.
Pappu Yadav in a statement issued here today said that "some partymen who neither have public support nor commitment to ideology are speaking against him. Such people are afraid of my struggle and that is why they are raising questions on my stir."
