Renowned British musician-DJ Mark Ronson mixed hit Punjabi number "Mundian To Bach Ke" with his chart-topping song "Uptown Funk" during his maiden performance here to woo the local audience.
The 40-year-old Grammy-winning music producer enthralled the jam-packed audience with his foot-tapping numbers at the day one of the sixth edition of Bacardi NH7 weekender at mela ground in Dwarka.
Seeing the highly enthusiastic crowd, Ronson said, "My name is Mark Ronson. This is my first time in Delhi. You guys are awesome. Please put your hands up and sing with me."
Dressed in his trademark black outfit with shades, Ronson, churned out all his mega hits right from "She's Got Me", "Your Kiss" to "Anywhere in the World" in his over an hour-long performance.
Crowd went berserk when Ronson mixed Labh Janjua's "Mundian To Bach Ke" with Bruno Mars and his collaboration.
"This is especially for you guys. The singer of this Punjabi number was an amazing guy," he said, paying tribute to the late singer.
Ronson's next stop is Pune and Bangalore. The internationally acclaimed DJ will not make an appearance in Shillong, where the music festival is happening for the first time in six years.
Other Indian and international artistes who will be playing at Weekender are music producer Flying Lotus, Mexican acoustic guitar duo Rodrigo y Gabriela, Papon and the East India Company (EIC), Kailasa, Parikrama and Vir Das's Alien Chutney.
