Rowdy held for attack on SI

: A rowdy who hacked a Sub Inspector at nearby Moondruadaippu today, seriously injuring him, was arrested, police said.
The SI was having lunch in a hotel when the rowdy hacked him with a sickle, inflicting serious head injuries. He has been hospitalised.
The reason for the attack was not known immediately.
