Rs 14 lakh looted from trader

A cement trader was today robbed of Rs 14 lakh at gun point by armed robbers from a market in Bihar's Samastipur district, a police officer said.
The trader Ramchandra Sahni was walking towards the nearby Central Bank of India branch to deposit Rs 14 lakh in the bank when four robbers riding on two bikes intercepted him and snatched the bag containing cash at gun point before making good their escape, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Girindra Kumar said.
A case has been registered and a probe was on, he said.
