Thanjavur Chief Judicial Magistrate Poornajayaanand passed the order directing the Oriental Insurance Company to pay Rs 19.25 lakh to the family of Aravindhan, a driver, who was killed after the two-wheeler he was riding was hit by a tractor near Srinivasanallur bypass.
The deceased's wife Sulochana (26), her three minor children and his parents sought a compensation of Rs 25 lakh in their Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal Original Petition.
