Sabhahit new registrar of Manipal Institute of Technology

Narayana Sabhahit, professor, Department of Civil Engineering, Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), has been appointed the new registrar of Manipal University.
He would take charge from G K Prabhu, professor biomedical engineering, who had been elected as new director of MIT. Sabhahit had so far been serving as Director (admissions) at the institution.
Sabhahit, who has a Doctorate from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, has 27 years of experience in teaching, research, consultancy and administration.
He joined MIT in 1988 as a lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering after completion of M Tech, a release here said.
During his tenure as Director (admissions), he had contributed in strengthening the admission process. He had also co-ordinated B Tech online common counselling for Manipal Group of Institutions.

Srikanth Rao, Joint Director of MIT, who is also Professor in the department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, will be the new Director (admissions), the release said.
