Sushant Singh played the antagonist in the second film of the popular erotic-thriller franchise "Hate Story", but the actor is sad that he could not be a part of the third instalment.
The 43-year-old actor, who has given some impactful performances both in films and television, says he would have loved to join the cast of "Hate Story 3" if his character would have survived in the previous film.
"I do regret not being a part of 'Hate Story 3'. I feel sad but when your part dies, it cannot be reincarnated and brought back for the next... Hopefully by the fourth instalment I can come back as a new character," Sushant told PTI.
Directed by Vishal Pandya, "Hate Story 3" stars Sharman Joshi, Karan Singh Grover, Zarine Khan and Daisy Shah.
The "Baby" actor says there will be comparisons between the current and previous movies but hopes it becomes even a bigger hit.
"I wish the team all the best. 'Hate Story' is a big, successful franchise, so comparisons will always be there. But when Vishal Pandya is at the helm, I don't think there is any need to worry. I hope the film becomes a bigger hit so that part four gets made and I get to be a part of it."
Written by Vikram Bhatt and Madhuri Banerji, the film is a sequel to Pandya's 2014 thriller "Hate Story 2" and third instalment of the franchise.
"Hate Story 3" is scheduled to release on December 4.
