"We seek cooperation from the civil society to save Tawi river from pollution in the city," Sharma, the Public Health Engineering, Flood Control and Irrigation Minister said.
He said nullahs pollute the river water affecting the execution work of artificial lake project.
Sharma said the government was committed to developing historical and religious destinations in the state, adding all out efforts were being made to promote pilgrimage tourism.
To attract domestic and foreign pilgrims to the city, he said focused attention was being paid for development of Tawi barrage (artificial lake) and ropeway on the bank of Tawi on modern lines.
