Director Steve McQueen to get European film academy honour

'12 Years A Slave' director Steve McQueen will be honoured with the European film academy awards for his career achievements.
The British director will be celebrated for his career that include award-winning films like 'Hunger', 'Shame' and '12 Years A Slave', which won three Oscars at the last Academy Awards, including Best Film, said the Hollywood Reporter.
McQueen will received the honorary award at a ceremony to be held on December 13 in Latvia, organizers said.
