School cab driver arrested for molesting class V girl

A 29-year-old school cab driver was arrested for allegedly molesting a class V girl in Shakarpur area of East Delhi, police said today.
The incident came to light yesterday afternoon after the victim's parents approached the police and the accused driver identified as Dharmender was nabbed.
"Dharmender is the driver of the school cab and used to drop and pick the victim from the school daily. Yesterday afternoon, the victim reached her home and told her mother that the cab driver had touched her inappropriately," said a police official.
She also told her mother that on earlier occasions also he had molested her and threatened to kill her parents if she revealed the incident to anyone.

Out of fear, the victim never told her parents.
The girl's parents then informed police and a case of molestation and POCSO was registered at Shakarpur police station, following which the driver's house was raided and he was arrested, the official said.
