Station Officer of Sarojini nagar said that senior journalist Rajeev Chaturvedi fell unconscious barely 10 feet from the main gate of the police station.
He said that Chaturvedi was immediately rushed to the Community Health Center, where doctors declared him dead.
According to Singh, there were cases of cheating lodged against Chaturvedi in connection with which he used to visit the police station.
Chaturvedi's family members alleged that he was called to the station.
Chaturvedi had worked with a number of prominent dailies and was currently writing a blog.
