Scribes protest attacks on them, seek action against culprits

A group of city-based scribes today staged a protest at the Collectorate here over recent attacks on journalists and demanded action against the culprits in the Siwan murder case.
They also handed over a memorandum to District Magistrate Vimal Kumar Sharma, which was addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Over the last few months journalists have been attacked and killed, a photojournalist said and sought action against culprits.
Senior journalist Rajdeo Ranjan was shot dead in Siwan town of Bihar on May 13. Another journalist, Akhilesh Pratap Singh was gunned down by unidentified persons at Dewaria area in Chatra district of Jharkhand on May 12.
