The decision was taken today at the meeting of a high-powered committee under the chairmanship of South Delhi Mayor Khushi Ram Chunar.
Of the fund, Rs 10 lakh will be spend on sanitation- related works in every ward, SDMC Standing Committee chairman Subhash Arya said in a statement.
"This additional fund will help the councillors in doing development works like improvements of lanes, better roads, upkeep of 'dhalaoghars', among other works, without any hindrance... The councillors can use the fund of Rs 10 lakh for hiring truck, tractor, trolley and other machines for the removal of garbage and 'malba' in their concerned areas," he said.
