The security personnel launched a massive joint search operation against the Maoists in the jungles of Pesrar, Kerar, Bulbul, said Superintendent of Police of Lohardaga, Karthik S.
The security personnel seized a 51 mm mortar, 18 pieces of high explosives bombs, six mobile phones, seven sim cards, among others, the SP said.
Karthik said the operation Netra 1 launched for area sensitisation following the surrender of 10 naxals on April 26 had led to seizure of hundreds rounds of ammunition and large quantity of explosives kept hidden by the naxals in the jungles.
