Although the Sena has time and again threatened to pull out of the government in the past, Patil said the party would not quit.
On Saturday, Shiv Sena had held protests in parts of the city against inflation and the rising prices of petrol and diesel. On Moday, the party had also taken out a march in neighbouring Thane over these issues.
"The party has a bad habit of making its differences with the allies open in public. The party is sharing power, but trying to play the role of opposition. This is damaging the party itself largely," he said.
