The 12-km marathon will start from the parade ground in the police line at 9 am and will conclude at the Shaheedi the Memorial at Asaf Wala, an official spokesperson of the state government said.
The objective of the run is to encourage youths to stay away from drugs and to motivate them to do something to make the country proud, he said.
He said that the ADGP, Welfare-cum-Armed, Sanjeev Kumar Kalra will be the chief guest for the marathon.
They would pay floral tributes on the Samadhi of Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh, the spokesperson said.
"A cultural programme will also be organised, in which, comedian Gurpreet Singh Ghuggi will interact with youths", he added.
More than 3,000 youths have so far registered for the marathon and the number is expected to increase further, he said.
