Suraj Yadav, Rambigha village head, and his three supporters were arrested after an incident of shoot-out, triggering violent protests by locals who demonstrated in front of the police station, ASP Shafiul Haque said.
The agitators indulged in stone pelting in which seven policemen were injured, he said
As the situation went beyond control, police opened fire in self defence, Haque said.
