The meeting between Shah and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and general secretary Bhaiyyaji Joshi at the organisation's headquarters in Mahal area here lasted over eight hours.
The meeting was also significant as the RSS's Pratinidhi Sabha, its highest decision-making body, is to meet here in the third week of this month.
Though Shah did not speak to reporters, RSS sources said the common minimum program of PDP-BJP alliance, Sayeed's controversial statement, the position on Article 370, and the land bill were discussed at the meeting.
This was Shah's second visit to the city after becoming the president of BJP. He also met Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who arrived here in the morning, during the day.
