Shahid Kapoor always ready to experiment with his look: Hakim

Celebrity stylist Aalim Hakim says Shahid Kapoor is one such actor, who is open to sporting different looks in his films.
Hakim, who has worked with a host of stars, made the revelation at a press conference for the second season of the show "Style INC with Aalim Hakim". Also present at the event were with actors Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor.
When Varun asked the stylist to name a director, who likes his actors to experiment with their looks on screen, Hakim said, "Imtiaz Ali."
Varun, whose look in "Student of the Year" was styled by Hakim, said he loved the older version of his character in his debut movie.

In the movie, Varun played a rich college boy named Rohan Nanda and had a clean shaven look. He also sported a rugged look when the story moved forward by ten years.
"Aalim Hakim sir asked me what look I would want for my first film 'Student of the Year'. In my debut film I had two distinct looks and I liked the older look more, it's my favourite. Even the tattoos were his ideas.

"He has been part of all my films as a stylist and he is part of my success," Varun told reporters here.
Varun was speaking at a press conference of season two of the show "Style INC with Aalim Hakim" where Arjun Kapoor was also present.

The 29-year-old actor feels privileged to be part of this show. "Arjun is good host and I have seen him on television. He is good at acting as well," Varun added.
In the show, Aalim will take audience into the life of actors by showing them their wardrobe and giving insights about their style statements.
According to Aalim, styling for films is different as one has to work as per the demand of the script.
"It is important to understand the character and story and accordingly style look of an actor, that is unique. It's challenging. There is lot of hard work that goes into creating a look of an actor," he said.

"We do research and work according to requirement of film. Actors also try different looks for a film and kudos to them," the stylist added.
