The company said it expects its air purifier range to become one of the future growth drivers.
"There is a huge need for this product in India as the air quality has deteriorated over the years. We are targeting 25 per cent of total market share and Rs 500 crore revenue from it," Sharp Business Systems India Ltd India Region MD and CEO Sunil K Sinha told PTI.
Elaborating on the potential of the product, Sinha said: "We expect air purifier market to be around Rs 2,000 crore by 2016 and it will be one of the future growth drivers for us."
Currently, Sharp sells its air purifier range in 17 countries.
