Sisodia said the quantum of potholes and instances of caved-in footpaths pose "serious threats" to the safety of commuters. He said their safety is AAP government's priority.
The government has taken several steps to handle water- logging and other issues during the monsoon. However, there seems to be some deficiencies "in our efforts to address the problem," Sisodia said in his letter.
"Several media reports have published photographs of instances of water-logging, potholes and caved-in footpaths resulting in severe inconvenience to the people of Delhi," he said.

"We must, as a responsible government, for the people of Delhi, ensure that adequate medicine/pesticides are made available to East Delhi Municipal Corporation on priority basis. Compliance report be submitted within days," Sisodia said, referring to a media report on shortage of temephos granules, used to check breeding of mosquitoes.
