Six days police custody for Susi emu farm owner

Guru alias Gurusamy, the owner of Susi Emu Farmers India Pvt ltd arrested yesterday in Hogenakkal in Dharmapuri District, was brought and produced before Tanpid court Judge (in-Charge) Thangaraj who allowed a plea by the Economic Offences Wing police seeking his custody.

Guru was also allowed to meet his lawyers daily for one hour during the police custody.

Susi Farms, located in Perundurai near Erode, is facing charges of cheating 12,000 investors about Rs 143 crore by promising them lucrative returns on investments in commercial rearing of emu birds.
