Six vehicle lifters held with as many stolen luxury vehicles

Acting on a tip off, the police nabbed the vehicle lifters while they were trying to sell off the stolen luxury vehicles and seized these vehicles, Superintendent of Police (SP) Manu Maharaj said.

The accused have been identified as Md. Ashraf, Israil Khan, Vivek Tiwari, Guddu Prasad Chaurasia, Md. Nazir Khan and Shiv Kumar Singh, he said.

Besides six stolen luxury vehicles, six mobile phones and Rs 15000 were seized from the vehiclen lifters, Maharaj said, adding that the network of the vehicle lifters was spread to Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
