SSB jawan crushed to death by speeding truck in Gaya
A Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) jawan was crushed to death by a speeding truck on National Highway 2 in Bihar's Gaya district today.
The motorcycle-borne SSB personnel, identified as Manish Kumar Verma, was on his way to join duty at the SSB battalion headquarters at Amas in Gaya district when a speeding truck crushed him to death on the highway.
The accident spot falls under Barachatti police station area.
The deceased was a resident of Barhi Bazar of Hazaribagh district in Jharkhand, Barachatti police station SHO Chetnanand said.
Both the driver and cleaner of the truck managed to escape from the spot along with the truck after the incident, the SHO said.
